Portage- 69, William J Harris passed away July 4, 2012 at his home in Portage, surrounded by his family. William was born to Donald J Harris & Ila Kidman Harris Plowman on December 4, 1942 in Tremonton, Utah. William was raised in Garland, and lived in Tremonton & Brigham City and then raised his family in Portage. He attended Bear River High School and Utah State University. On November 17, 1967 he married Judy Weekley, their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on May 21, 1975. He spent his life working at the Sugar Factory, Hill Air Force Base, and retired from Thiokol in 2005 as a Machinist. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his wife Judy, 14 children (7 sons & 7 daughters), 31 grandchildren, four brothers, Darwin (Logan), Gary, Bob and Jerry (Tremonton), and 1 sister, Linda Nye (Ogden). William was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Ila. Funeral Services for William will be held Monday July 9, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Portage LDS Chapel (8910 W. 25800 N.) There will be a viewing at the church previous to the funeral from 9-10:30 a.m.
