NORMAN DELOS "JOE" IVERSON 

Joe passed away 22 April 2023 in Surprise, Arizona.  His body was donated to the University of Arizona for medical research.  There was no published obituary.  in the 50 Year Reunion Book Joe wrote that he and his wife Barbara were parents of 8 children:  Darci, Melissa, Lisa (passed away at 32 years), Missy, Brian, Suzanne, Cindy and Paula. At that time their family included 24 grand children and 6 great-grandchildren.  Joe studied drafting and architecture and became a general contractor building custom homes, Home Town Buffet and Tony Roma restaraunts, and was project manager for the renovation of the Stateline Hotel and Casino in Wendover.  After meeting and marrying Barbara in 1987 they opened a furniture store in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.  Joe made custom furniture to sell in the store.  They did interior design on literally hundreds of home and condos and shipped their furniture to every state in the USA.  He and Barbara were active in the Family of God Christian Fellowship and were active in supporting their food bank as well as supporting young people to enable to stay in school.  Joe was a successful drag racer, driving his front engine dragster to second in Division 7 in 1992.  On new years eve 2010 he suffered a seizure and they discovered a brain tumor a little large than a golf ball.  Following surgery he said,"My life has returned to normal (well almost).  This is an absolute miracle."
